The Guglielmo Giordano Foundation, instituted at Villa Spinola near Perugia (Italy) and dedicated to the memory of the renowned scholar of the wood, was established with the aim of promoting its action in the same field where Guglielomo Giordano's scientific research and cultural interests carry on. Therefore the Foundation promotes historical and scientific studies and researches on wood whilst interacting with the art world supporting seminars, conventions, large exhibitions, events and publications of the most important contemporary and past art expressions.
The program of study on the topic of the wood develops around three main areas of study. Scientific and technological studies of the wooden structures, particularly in architecture; artistic studies on the theme of painting, statues, musical instrument- and cabinet-making.
